My music director and praise team leader has made the "big time" ! whooo - who! He is the centerfold for Scoops Magazine......
Heheheheheh......doesn't that sound cool !
What an eye-opener for this young talented BAPTIST music minister and for us! We entered the praise team rehearsal in awe of our praise team leader who had made it big! His picture was splashed right in the middle of the Scoops magazine. Who says Griffin isn't making it on the map!
We have our own centerfold at First Baptist Church!
Marty enlightened us on the interview process and excitedly explained to us about his G-string and the F-hole (okay for all you dirty minds, that is cello talk ).
Okay......end of the teasing time.
Truly, Marty is a very talented musician and First Baptist is extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful musician and minister in our midst!
He really is the centerfold in the magazine, but he is fully clothed and is only posing with his cello.
Marty , if you are reading this, I hope you know that we do LOVE TO tease you , but we also really DO LOVE ya too!

Short and Informative...heheehee!
No pictures for now. . What a week at school. My energetic schoolmates designed an informative and interesting journey for our 2nd grade classes. I, for one, was not impressed at the time. No amount of cajolling or teasing was making me want to enter into the domain of traveling with 50 or 60 seven year olds trapped in a yellow , road submarine!
Just the thought of herding all these young'uns in and out of the sub, round, down , through and out of that historical place was making me KNOW that I had contracted a severe illness on Tuesday night that would definitely last throughout the day on Wednesday (the day of the final-journey-through time).'
My FRIENDS, Clong and Lmelton, JENNIFER, Ldavis and Gharvil told me to get with the program and pick my bottom lip up off of the floor and stop with the attitude.
OK. Harummph......just for ya'll , I did it.
As my media-specialist tells us to do, I put on my big girl pannies (hush Jennifer), fixed my own lunch (thank you cafeteria, but.........nah), donned my favorite pair of jeans (from Atlanta Tent and Awning), my FR shirt, sunscreen and bug wipes!
As I walked out the door with all my paraphernalia , I remembered that we would be peregrinating during the tour and immediately decided to revert back to the Nikes instead of the mules.
Arriving at school, the bee project backdrop was looming over Futral Road's gym and needed to be moved right then and there......so with 16 children underfoot I traveled down the hallway to try to elliminate the problem......and the backdrop too , ha. Since I couldn't eliminate the person, I decided to explain in depth that I was about to embark on this 2nd grade journey and that I would be like Scarlet and just......think about it tomorrow.
New word for me.............LOVE THIS>>>>>>.. WHATEVER!..............hahahahahahah.......
I will now say that when someone tells me something I don't like......LOVE IT, love it!!!!
Anyway, I waited as long as possible to load my crumb-snatchers on the great yellow -road-submarine! Clong finally called me on the loud speaker to "come on and get on this bus"....so we went.
So much for an excruciating headache , right Ldavis! No meds on this trip.....no way...if I've gotta go, y'all can have a headache, so there! (just kidding, I gave her drugs when we returned and now she loves me again). We all had a tremendous headache when we got there ,but no head clicking thank goodness. I guess we don't have the headboards that Ldavis has....hmmm.
Obstreperous children were actually the cause so leaving the sub to go on the journey was a blessing.
clong was my partner and we set out to do whatever it was that everyone was so intent on putting me through...................................
I have to admit , everyone watched their little kiddies, no one got lost, everyone had lunch, no one wet their pants or vomited on the sub.
Also, I must admit my reservations were in vain. The journey was well worth the time and money spent to get there! What an awesome time! What a lot of information to process and apply! It actually was HANDS ON LEARNING and I LOVED it!
I have lots of pics, but alas, must get permission to post!
Thank you to my sweet supportive, loving , patient....DEMANDING bunch of cohorts! I love you and thank you for a SUPER PEREGRINATE!
You are all amazing!
